Fourth of July, ATVs, Birthday Party and Parade in Moose Lake

Yesterday evening, after dinner, Larry, Bill and I hopped on the ATVs and headed for Larry's brother Keith's place on the property behind our camp. Riding ATVs is really fun but in Minnesota backroads it's easy to get lost because everything looks the same, green trees.  I suppose after decades of riding the road Larry probably has the turns down, and in fact he took us right to Keith's place.  Everything we've seen so far is so green and beautiful

We parked our toys and went for a walk around the property.  Beautiful!!!!

.
Horses, mules, cats, birds, ticks and mosquitoes by the kazillions.

Larry says hi to an old friend.

                     Best friends.

Suppose to be 10 of these cuties around the property.  Too bad they don't eat ticks.

Today is Keith's birthday so we'll be heading back to the property for dinner, partying and another opportunity to feed the starving mosquitoes.  This visit I'll go well prepared and wear my snowsuit.

Here's the happy ATVers.

This morning, the 4th of July, we headed to Moose Lake for the annual parade.  We collected lots of candy for Larry as the parade past by, yelling "old people like candy too".

we are having a blast is true. Bounce doesn't seem to do it for me. I go nuclear with Deet. Bounce just seems to tick off these Minnesota mosquitoes.
