Day One

Detroit, city of the future.  At least after they recover from the recent bankruptcy.   Interesting bridge superstructure.  This was on the way to the Detroit Airport to pick up the boys.

Maybe because of the gold plated baggage return carousals is why Detroit is bankrupt.

Sandwiches of peanut butter and jelly, milk and chips energized the boys for round one of activities.  And what would a walk to the recreation center be without some punching, kicking and wrestling.

Grandpa just chuckles

OBTW  Grandma beat everyone and no one would play PingPong with her again.  GRANDMA ROCKS

.

Austin out in the playground swinging

What's pool time without spraying Grandma

There's always one that will go contrary to the designed direction of the slide.

Or laying in wait for brother Austin.

Grandpa had to take a nap from the rigorous routine.  Looks like a few toys to snuggle with eh?

Oh wait....is this just an opportunity to try to bury grandpa in "toys and stuff".

OMG!  What happened to Grandpa?  Even Lucy is looking for him.

I think Grandpa is getting overheated under all this junk.  Austin and Hunter are ROFLAO.

It must be time to recharge the food banks.  We set up outside and had hotdogs and buns, beans and pasta salad with milk and tea to drink.  A yummy meal cooked by the boys.  And to think this is their first camping trip and hotdogs over a fire experience.  They did an awesome job.

This is serious business

Finishing off the second hotdog in a bun and a plate of pasta.  Burp.

Also finishing off a second hotdog in a bun and a plate of pasta and beans.  Belch.
DESSERT TIME  While waiting to drive off I said to Austin that the car wouldn't drive without his seatbelt on.  He sair "liar".  A whipped my head around in true exorcism style and said "what did you say" and his instant reply was "I said you're awesome grandma".  It took me a minute to stop laughing.  We were then able to drive on.

We found a wonderful place for ice cream.  Hunter order birthday cake flavor, single scoop.  Are we sure we're not in Texas?

No, Hunter couldn't finish it.
We ordered a baby single for Austin.  He wanted what Hunter had but we knew better.  In spite of the picture he was happy about his lot.

No, Austin couldn't finish it either.
Bill finished his but I couldn't finish mine....but hehehe...mines in the freezer for later.

SUGAR HIGH TIME

WhoooooooooooooooHoooooooooooooo Poooooooooooooooool Time Agaaaaaaaaaaaaiiiiiiiinnnnnnn!

Our future high diver.  Fabulous form.

Hunter was spinning in excitement.

Brotherly love.  Such good boys.

Thumbs up my Awesome Grandma

Cannonball King
Goodnight.  I woke up at midnight and had to turn Austin around and the tv off.  Both boys sound asleep.

THAT WAS A GREAT DAY...CAN'T WAIT TILL TOMORROW, AS LONG AS IT DOESN'T COME BEFORE 7 A.M.
