Before I go too far I have to ask you if you can believe this wolf spider jumped on my arm during the tear down the night before we left. I hate spiders! I freaked...didn't you hear me in Washington? Larry came by and squashed it. Poor spider. I gave it plenty of time while I screamed to run away.
We checked into Erie Islands with no problems. It's a huge park with loads of gentle rolling lawns.
Here we are all spread out over three rows. Since we're about the only people in the park right now it's nice and quiet, until a train goes by out in the distance.
Caught a picture of these black swans at the front gate. They sure are pretty.
After everyone set up, Larry and Gail and Bill and I drove into Sandusky for what seems like our daily Steak n' Shake meal. I won't show you any more pictures of our feasts. We sure enjoyed it though. Afterwards the six of us sat talking until the bugs chased us in around 8:30, but that was okay, we were all tired after our 135 mile drive.
After a good nights sleep, the girls and I went for an early morning walk to "check out" the grounds. And here's another swan, only white.
She's beautiful.
I couldn't stop photographing. Every pose was captivating.
This white egret didn't hang around for long.
Just a sample of the grounds. This is a very pretty park.
The outdoor pool and hot tub.
Inside the building is an indoor pool and hot tub.
After my walk Gail and I planned to go to town for a pedicure. The guys went too. And again we stopped for lunch at Steak n' Shake. We should consider buying stock in the company at this rate.
Pretty toes.
Six of us chowed down on pulled pork sandwiches, cole slaw, and beans for dinner.
A great day. Bugs returned.
Thanks for visiting, see ya soon.
