In the Land of Amish

So Sunday morning, it was an early departure to Circle M near Lancaster, Pa.  Bill had a cousin to visit, we wanted to immerse ourselves in Amish and experience their wonderful foods, crafts and unique lifestyle...but no I'm not giving up our electricity.

It was a great drive in-spite of our previous drive through Pennsylvania and the poor roads.
Circle M RV Park is set in beautiful gently rolling hills with large fields of grass and dark green trees.  The sites are ample, the power is great and we get our Dish Satellite.  Whew...that's a lot.

On entering the park you drive under this umbrella of shade trees.

This is Cowboy land in the middle of Amish Country.  There's a restaurant that I believe is used for weekend meals, an arcade for the kids, a water park too with a noise decibel level reaching the ear bursting range.  Little kids are so loud and fold in the indoor factor and you get swampy roaring screaming fun.

This is the pool area and once again the "heated" factor is supplied only by mother nature.  We did manage to get in and it was truly refreshing.  We were soon kicked out as thunder rolled on the horizon.

A large swimming pool outdoor and the ear blasting one is indoors with the hot tub on one end of the building.  The hot tub was nice and hot with one distracting factor of the swampy screaming in the adjoining pool.

We headed to Costco the next morning to get Bill's hearing aid fixed.  Coming outside I saw the horse and buggy accommodations for the Amish vehicles.  I had a good laugh over this one.  What a wonderful surprise.  Who would have expected to see this.  A first for me.

Driving home we went through the Lancaster County Central Park along the Conestoga River..

Came across the Rock Ford Plantation.  Something we'll have to return and checkout further.

We'll be going to the Amish Village and will bring you up to speed on Amish and Mennonites.  Thanks for visiting.
