Kicking dirt

Haven't done too much over the past couple of days but sit around and watch the clouds float by and the grass grow.  Both a serious lesson in patience, which for those who know me can attest that is in short supply in my makeup.  It's about 6:40 in the morning, that would most likely be around 3 or 4:40 for most of you.  Yawnnnnnn.

We even have our own saloon on site.

Hey, anyone know what these are?  Don't say moths...I can figure that much out.

Luna Moth

Last Saturday we went to Larry's sister Bev who had a big party for us. Thank you Bev for all your kindness and hard work preparing a delicious meal.  The party started around 4 p.m. when a lot of us arrived.  Dinner was at 6 p.m. with food to feed 3 times more than showed up.

I eventually left at 8 p.m. to go home and feed the girls.  A bunch more arrived after that.  Maybe it's a Minnesota thing.Of course it rained all day with a short lapse in wet that lasted long enough for us to refill our drinks and load up our plates and run for cover before the next downpour.

Why Joe even tried his hand at pole dancing but Josie seemed unimpressed.

The mosquitoes and black flesh eating flies were out in full force.  Larry had a bottle of 98 percent Deet...I sprayed that on my legs and became the most popular gal at the party.  There wasn't a mosquito or fly that would come within 20 feet of me.  I suppose in a few years I'll find out how much the Deet damaged my reproductive organs...oh wait, I don't have those.  I did glow a bit that night though.

We played cribbage and Beth and I whooped Eric and Bill's butts....we warned them.  Anyone for cribbage?

Last night we went to Kettle Falls for burgers.  Cute town, yummy burgers, end of day.  I did go outside after we got home and got some pretty cloud pictures to share.  These are non rain clouds.  A lot of bark and no bite.

Larry grew up in this house across from the camp Looks like a clip from the Wizard of Oz.

Our host and hostess spread next door.  Joe and Josie's place.

We'll be leaving tomorrow for Little Fork up in northern Minnesota for Larry's Family Reunion.  We're going cause we claim Larry as kin and we have the same last name.

Darn tootin...it's either cold with rain or hot with sweat, either way you're always wet.
