The drive through Eastern Kentucky was scenic and equally beautiful.
We crossed many a river on the way to Tennessee and saw lots of lakes and winding roads.
After what seemed a long drive, but wasn't, we dropped into Tennessee.
The clouds are moving in and rain is expected later this evening.
We arrived at the Knoxville FOE Eagles. Met up with Larry's Uncle Clare and his wife Sandy. Had a great visit inside the club with loaded nachos all around.
Accommodations at the Eagles were fine but the noise of the freeway and the rain drops on the roof made for a fitful night's sleep for all of us. If views determined the cost (which was no charge) we'd be paying for these two sites. Picture taken from front window of motorhome.
We were ready to get to Waldens Creek in Pigeon Forge, so off we went by 10 a.m.
A short walk around the park was fully entertaining. It's a private owned park and has all the funny little touches of home.
Sign says dog area over bridge. Yes, this bridge. I'm not sure I'd even go across it but then ha ha...there's no path to bridge.
Some very good directions....at least as good as our Rand McNally!
Lots of birds and critters
and a bunch of ducks
And all along a really pretty creek...or is this a small river. I never know.
There's an attractive office and the best laundry room I've yet to see. Even a viewing deck with lounge chairs, fire pits and a few kitties about.
There's even a few cabins. But pink?
Nice office with friendly owner/staff.
I'd even do laundry in this cute room. So fresh and clean. A place to read while you wait, with a view to boot.
All nested down for the week. Larry and Gail are right next door.
Thanks for visiting. Be back soon.

We loved Pigeon Forge. Be sure to go to the Comedy Barn. Dixie Stampede was fun too.
Dottie and George
We never seem to allow enough time to do all the activities we'd like to do. Got to slow down a little, smell the roses.
