Thanksgiving Pilgram and Indian Costume

Halloween just isn't the same now that we're past our first 10 years.  Candy is still yummy...but the thrill of the dressup is past.  Seeing babies and puppies, kids and dogs and cats in costumes is the best.

This one might be our favorite
Little Orphan Annie, plus 40 more DIY kid costumes. #halloween

We ended up driving Lilly (for a checkup following her neck shave) and also Lucy who seemed to have something going on with her back.  We headed out at 9:30 for Brentwood, just south of Nashville to the closest Banfield.

 Banfield Petsmart in Brentwood, TN.

Bill holding on to the girls.  We're done finally.  Heading to Costco for a dog.  Lilly looks sad...she got two shots.  A Bordedella and a heart worm booster.

More Halloween costumes in Costco.  I always say there are some real clowns in Costco. hahaha

We did a lot of great grazing and got a hotdog to finish it off.  I'll pay for that dog tonight.

It rained all through Halloween day and night. We drove up to Petsmart in the rain and back in the rain with the addition of a lot of wind around midday.

Fall colors were still spectacular, even through the waterlogged windshield.

Five miles from the park we're driving through the entrance to the Lewis Meriweather location where he died and was buried.  We'll go back to see it tomorrow, when the weather is suppose to be better.

The wind howled last night all during the trick r treat hours and into the darkest hours.  The television, while it would stay on, would trail a Tornado Watch warning for Lewis County, where we are parked. What you going to do?  Pray it doesn't come to your area.  It must have blew itself out because we're still here the following morning.

Next morning update:

Some of the aftermath.  Our fence was actually blown down.  The mats were everywhere.  One of them even blew down the road 100 feet.  Bill found it fortunately.

The view from our front window is beautiful.  A great sunrise.

The left side extended view of above.

So thanks again for visiting.  We're staying put until Nov. 11th.  I know....I know...can we handle the quiet.  We shall see.
