Sunrise, Sunset

Moving day and the girls and I catch a few more minutes of shuteye before sunrise.

So it's goodbye Peace River.  It was a relaxing two weeks with a few side trips thrown in for fun.  This is what I imagined Florida would be like.  Beautiful stretches of beach, swamps, palms and alligators.

 Toll road across the Sunshine Skyway Bridge.  Toll was a whopping $3.75.  It was well worth the fare, just for the views.

Up and over we go.  Our sweet rig didn't even blink taking this hill.  The Winnee would have had Randy and Sherry growling up the backside of us.

Weee weee weee down the other side.  St. Petersburg out ahead of us.













An easy drive on a Sunday morning.  Arrived about 11:30 and no one was in the office.  So we roamed around the park trying to figure out where to go.  A half hour later the manager found us.  They had made arrangements for the three of us to park together.  Now that's service.

Then another park employee came by and made sure we knew about the 4 p.m. Big Band Orchestra playing and the feast...all at no charge.  I guess this is the difference between an Encore Park and a TT Park.

We could easily get use to this.


Mostly set up.  Couldn't get the new satellite to work under the trees so it was back to the old reliable dish on a pedestal.

Three big fishes in an itty bitty space.  Packed in snug.  Good thing we're friends.

Very nice sand volleyball court.  I still miss the water volleyball.  If I played sand volleyball I'd never be able to move again.

Small pool but actually heated.  This thing's 8 feet deep. West coast parks drain em and fill em up with concrete so members can play water volleyball and do water aerobics...or the ones we've gone to seem to have done that.

We have three competing events starting at 3:30 and going until 9:00 p.m.  AFC playoff...go Broncos.  NFC playoff...go SEAHAWKS.  And the Encore IV Big Band Orchestra.  It seems this group of senior band members practice every Thursday at the park.  As a thank you they gave a performance.  It was wonderful.

And a fitting and beautiful sunset to end the evening.  Just found out the Broncos won the AFC championship.  Now let's go Seahawks.
