Playing in the Catskills

The Catskills are really beautiful.  Every bend in the road is another beautiful view.  I decided to find the nearest Stop and Shop which came up as 9 miles which is as the crow flies.  It turned into a mountain drive (speed bump) of 14 miles.  Ended up in New Platz, near the Hudson River.

Hay bales in a field near town.

Another view of the hay bales and the farm barn.

Returning over the pass I saw this little house out in the distance.

Getting closer to the pretty house.

This little garage got painted all purty for the 4th.  Not sure is that was this year or 10 years ago.

A scenic barn.  Everything is just plain old scenic.

Three decrepit  old silos seemingly abandoned.

Back at the park.

Sitting cozy by the creek that flows by our campsite.  Over the bridge we're the first site.

That was my grocery shopping day to New Platz.  We'll be going back over to visit FDR Home and Library tomorrow.  I'll have pictures of the town for you then.  It's very mid 60's and groovy baby, if you catch my drift.  Thanks for visiting and see you soon.
