There were many small towns along the way in dire shape. Abandoned homes, distressed homes and many homes that had seen better days. I think this one may be beyond salvaging, assuming you could find one person interested in doing so.
My favorite, a paint.
Another one of those dire shape homes.
I think this one is beyond repair.
Not sure about this one.
Or any of the next few.
Actually this one is still in use.
A burn down.
We pulled into Amarillo, hit the Walmart and decided to keep going about another 100 miles.
Whew!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Stockyards smell really bad.
Finally arrived for the night at a local truck stop. I can't even remember the name of the town, we'd just finished about 450 miles today.
We were on the road the next morning before sunrise, but when sunrise came it was beautiful.
And before long we were in New Mexico. Ole'
Heading up the I-25 we saw the last of the mornings mass ascension from 5 miles south of our exit.. Can't wait till tomorrow morning to see it all. Now to find the gang.
A piece of cake pulling into our "saved space". We're all sitting around later that day waiting for the dinner to finish for our potluck. Later we'll watch the fireworks.
A long shot of the entire rig setup. Notice the little mini trailer right in the middle of us? She was there when we all left.
It was great getting back with some of the Lewis and Clark gang. We've got three days to catch up and enjoy the Albuquerque Balloon Festival 2014.
Thanks for visiting and come back for tomorrow's mass ascension. Susan
