Corn Palace and SPAM

We ended our Wall to 1880 Town with reservations at Mitchell, SD's new Walmart Supercenter.  We woke the next morning destined to begin our new day at the Corn Palace in Mitchell.

The exterior wall decor is made entirely of corn cobs, husks and amazingly changed by theme every year.
Just corn

There's nothing more adorable than an Ear of Corn and his best friend.

Our second destiny of the day was a trip to Austin, Minnesota.  Having passed the border from South Dakota to Minnesota was a milestone for Bill and me.  Neither of us had been here before.  Oh yes, and another state sticky to put on the map.

And just guess what we did in Austin, MN....yup SPAM Museum.  OMG!! I don't eat and won't eat SPAM so why are we here....let's ask Larry..

Aren't we a little old for this?  I'm embarrassed.

At least they are colorful, but really??? A shirt with SPAM on front.  NOT

We checked into our accommodations at Walmart Supercenter in Austin, MN and were immediately rescued and consoled by Larry's nephew Mark and his wife Cheryl.  Their daughter Amy and SO Kevin with baby Corbin joined us.  We were treated to a delicious Mexican dinner and felt much better about our day.  Such a pleasant evening and what an adorable Corbin.
