Road trip to Columbus

Weather has finally settle down to a comfortable warm.  We piled into the car about 11 a.m. and headed out to explore.  Going into Batesville to the post office.  Up and down nearly every street....who forgot to bring the GPS?  Do we dare go any further.  Finally asked a local and then found the post office.  Whew, that was close.

We decided to play it safe and just stay on US 46..same way in and out.  Got to Columbus and found a Sam's Club and had lunch.  Why did we come back here?  We could have saved outselves the trip because we found another one, yes, another clock tower tree garden in Greensburg on our way back.  What is with this?

 What a site!

Heading back home we found a farmer's market and got four ears of corn and nearly stumbled over a very cute kitten named Peeps.

Now this is cute.  But the little monster wanted no park of being held.  She did like to pose though.

Almost home and Larry slams on the brakes and yells, "covered bridge" and around the car turns heading back down the road so we could see it.  Woke Bill up too with all that whipping around.  However, we had to inform Larry that where we come from this is called a tunnel, not a covered bridge.

Shrimp, wild rice and corn on the cob for dinner.  This is the good life.  Thanks for visiting and see you soon.
