Did Someone Say Ice Scream

So how does all the ice cream you can eat sound?  Sounds good to me, Gail, Bill and Larry too!

There's a brand of ice cream here in Pennsylvania and probably sold elsewhere in the East called Turkey Hill.  We all agreed to go and enjoy the Turkey Hill Experience in Columbia, PA, about 20 miles away.  Parking in front of the building looks promising.  They must have enough ice cream behind those doors to satisfy our appetites.

No fooling, a true Turkey Hill Experience

The local greeter, just like at Walmart.

Rock and eat ice cream.  It doesn't get much better.
The line to get seconds, thirds, fourths, fifths and beyond servings was always open or short.  How great is that!

And what happens when you eat ice cream, yep, you get thirsty.  So it was all you could drink samples of their ice teas, iced coffees and assorted juices.

Larry was really getting into the program.  Actually he looks like he could be an employee.  Well maybe the Moonshine t-shirt would be inappropriate wear.

Milk away Larry, I'm heading back for more samples.  I think Larry looks like a natural.

The Turkey Hill Experience was definitely geared to the 3 to 10 year old but we just ratcheted back to the 50's and enjoyed ourselves.

I even created my own flavor, named it and packaged it.

On our way out we were asked to participate in a taste test for a new Turkey Hill flavor.  I tested Peach and Mango Gelato..  I love Gelato but I wasn't crazy about either sample.  I finished and we waited for Bill and Gail to test a new ice cream flavor.  Ha!  Larry went and got a parting ice cream sample.

Now that's one beautiful cow.

Afterwards we drove over to the Central Market in York before heading for lunch.  I had to look long and hard at this woman I saw in the market.  I was thinking she was dead but she was breathing and having a great nap to boot.  I wonder how her neck felt later.

But not to be outdone Bill did his rendition of her snooze on the way home.  I think if his head could have laid back further we would have had a better competition....as it lays, Bill takes second.

So it was a fun day and we all crashed from being over full and coming down off our sugar high.  We got inside and collapsed into our recliners and didn't see anyone until the next day. I don't want ice cream for at least 24 hours.

It's Labor Day Weekend and we'll be grilling and visiting with Larry and Gail and John and Trish.  Hope you all have a great Labor Day.  See you next week.  Thanks for visiting.
